Brembo brake kits are complete brake kits that come with everything you need to replace your factory brake system. The rotors are a two piece design with a floating hat and rotor. This allows for quicker heat dissipation and it reduces unsprung and rotating weight. The calipers are a mono block design and are available in 4,6 or 8 pistons depending on the application. The calipers have sequentially sized pistons and are available in Red, Black or Silver. The kits come with stainless steel brake lines that are DOT approved. They also come with Brembo high performance brake pads. The caliper mounts that Brembo supplies with the kits are made from billet for superior strength and durability. Comparison between floating 2-piece and 1-piece discs-

The floating disc mounting system, due to the aluminium alloy hat, reduces the “unsprung” weight for better handling and reduces heat- related stress: the mounting system is designed to allow a specific amount of float in both radial and axial directions. Brembo has engineered special springs that are used on every other fastener in order to slightly preload the assembly. This has been done to prevent excessive noise from the system during street use. The one-piece discs (both for the Sport and GT lines) are specifically designed in the goose-neck area to minimize thermal distortion and thus disc warping under severe use conditions.
